"WELCOME TO VOICEDANCE"

VOICE TERM  I

           Hi Everyone,
We started Term 1 with over 70 students at Voice Dance classes.
Ten Junior girls and two boys graduated to our Senior Team and are already hard at work practising to perform in our new Production "Shattered".
We welcomed Maddie Hendrie to our teaching team. Maddie is teaching a "worship dance class" encouraging ourstudents to experiment with and enjoy free worship dance.
Our Boys class has increased to 8 Juniors  and we have designed a specific teaching programme to meet their needs.
The boys learn gymnastics, paired dance, choreography and drama.
We are planning to add a contemporary dance class later in the year.

Dates for new  Production of  "Shattered" are posted in the
Upcoming Performances and venues  section  so tell all  your friends and invite the grannies and grandpas!

Eileen Dalrymple, Director and Founder of Voice, introduces the Company

Voice Dance  Company is a team of youth with a love for the performing arts, a desire to use this passion to reach out with the gospel message, and a mandate to see the Kingdom of God advanced, not only in their lives, but in those who come to share the experience.

The youth are from churches of various denominations in North & West Auckland.
They are based at Liberty Christian Church, Avondale and perform in churches, schools, shopping malls and theatres around the Auckland area.
More recently they have ventured further afield  touring to Wellington,New Plymouth,Napier,Havelock  North and Hamilton

As well as strong drama content various dance styles are used by the group including jazz ballet, hip hop, ribbon and flag dancing, rhythmic gymnastics and
acrobatics.

Performances range from 20 minutes to over an hour
cryingCrying in the Rain from Set Me Free
 in our current production "Lifesongs"

The ministry of Voice Company has an adult support team of around 8 members working in a voluntary capacity.
Discipleship and spiritual growth are an integral part of the dancers’ training , with Spiritual retreats designed to deepen their spiritual walk which underpins the intent of their dance.

Rob Holding (Radio Rhema , Christian Radio ) says:

"Over and above the quality of the performances and the enthusiasm of the performers is the overall emphasis on seeing people enter the Kingdom of God
Voice Production Company are using the arts of dance and drama in the way they were intended – to draw people to the Saviour".
